Meta Corporate Finance has helped the management team of Kent-based Erith Waste Management Limited (“Erith Waste”), to take control of its business.
Meta advised on the Management Buy-Out (“MBO”) of Erith Waste from its parent company, Erith Haulage Company Limited, part of the Erith Group.
Erith Waste operates waste transfer stations in Tunbridge Wells, Cray Valley, Rainham and Erith itself, together with a fleet of skip and waste collection lorries. Erith Waste’s activities centre on the processing of construction and other “heavy” waste. The company focuses on the recycling of as much waste as possible, thus reducing the quantity of material ultimately going to landfill.
Peter Counsell, Director of Meta Corporate Finance, said "Erith Waste is a well-run business with a considerable future. The management team is well‑placed to benefit from the continued high levels construction activity in the South East and the country’s increasing focus on the recycling of waste."
Derek Kenny, Managing Director of Erith Waste, said "The advice that Meta gave us throughout was vital to the ultimate completion. We are delighted to complete the buy-out and look forward to life as an independent business."
The MBO has been funded by Fortis Bank, the international financial services providers.
